    Are the medieval stone churches of Åland open in June so that one can visit in them?

    I am particularly interested in the churches of Jomala, Hammarland and Eckerö. Are their opening hours available somewhere?

I have Finnish version of Åland 2010 guide ("Aikaa itsellesi") and it does not even have that many pages. I found opening hours of museums there but not churches.

But I already got the info that I needed from your reply so it doesn't really matter.

Hello Niko,

Yes, the medieval churches are open to visit during the summer time.

Jomala church is open Tuesday-Saturday 9.30-15.30 and on Sundays 13-15.30 during the time 1.6-15.8.

Hammarland church is open Monday-Friday 9.00-16.00 during the time 15.5-1.9.

Eckerö church is open Monday to Friday 9.00-19.00 and Saturday-Sunday 9.00-18.00 during the time 1.5-31.8.

Information about the opening hours are listed in our Åland Guide 2010 on page 65.
