  • Åland, Åland, Åland, the island where I want to be.

    Well, for those of you who know, that's a corruption of the "famous" Monthy Python song Finland.

    Having been born and raised here is quite a unique experience in many ways. When I left the first time, 10 years ago, there was a distinct lack of events, places and activities - something which has since changed quite drastically with many new restaurants and places to enjoy a top meal over a nice drink with friends and family.

    The archipelago is by far one of the most beautiful places on earth! Well worth a visit, possibly by bicycle as a preferred transport method as this enables you to "feel" everything - sounds, smells, the breeze on your face!

    While other destinations offer their own rewards, there are few which can beat Åland for tranquillity.

    I for one will always call it home and I hope you who go there can do the same!
